Anusha Ganesh

Assistant Director | Photographer | Editor

Anusha Ganesh is an emerging filmmaker based in Calicut, Kerala, working across assistant direction, photography, editing, and voice performance. She holds a Master’s degree in Communication and Journalism from Calicut University (2014–2016) and later completed a Diploma in Screenwriting at New Wave Film School (2020–2021).

Anusha made her directorial debut with the documentary Kaayika Kuthippinte Kanaka Paatha, which reflects her interest in nuanced, character-driven storytelling. As an assistant director, she has contributed to several notable shorts, including

Jan Shatabdi, Dance of Death (dir. Amal Adith), and The Puzzles (dir. Anand Chandran). Her screenplay consulting work on The Family Photo (dir. Rahul Ravi) helped the film win Best Short at the Haiku International Film Fest.

Beyond her behind-the-camera work, she voiced the lead role in Nakshathra Vilapam, directed by Shafeeq at the MediaOne Academy of Communication. Anusha continues to refine her practice across narrative forms, emphasizing stories grounded in emotional realism and visual depth.
